MY Interests
Finding Flight
From taking my Dad on a flight after getting my PPL to flying the Bell 205 helicopter, I have always looked to the sky and wondered what lies beyond.
From my internships and projects I have found a passion not only for flying, but also for testing. I hope to combine these interests in the future through my masters in Flight Test Engineering (FTE) at the International Test Pilot School, and continue to push the limits of knowledge in aerospace. What started as answering a few questions about space and FTE turned into making little videos about the cool things I have been fortunate to be apart of, and hope to continue doing as a career. I hope to share my journey to inspire others to pursue their passions. Some of my favourite videos are shown here!
singing STAR SONGS
Playing music has always been an artistic channel for me. Whether it be guitar, drums, ukulele, or piano, I love the magic music brings and have been writing silly songs to perform for my parents since I was a kid. The video to the left is my first recorded original song I wrote dedicated to the universe.
I am thankful to the millions of listeners worldwide that have heard my music and continue to support me. While you scroll through this page, please press play on the window below to hear my space song Dear Moon.
Adventuring ambitiously
When I was 8, I had a trip to Indonesia which changed my life. Upon arriving at a small fishing village, it was full of children with no shoes and parents absent while hunting for food. No toys, or candy, or television. However, a girl my age with a baby around her chest came up to me and grabbed my hand with the biggest smile on her face and led me around the village. I learned that material wealth is not happiness, and it is the connections we make with others that warms the heart.
Immersing myself in new cultures and experiences always brightens my worldview. It is amazing to visit villages I often view on the satellite images from google maps. Whether it be the Camino de Santiago I did with my mother when I turned 16 or the ship I jumped off in Vietnam, I love challenging myself to step outside my comfort zone. Exploring and adventuring has always been a big part of my personality, and explains why I desire to travel every inch of this planet and beyond.
Trying Tech
Technology continues to evolve and provides endless learning opportunities. From creating outreach projects to robots in Arduino to learning to code in C++ on my free time, I hope to continue expanding my skillset in various domains.

One of the coolest gifts I received was the Lego Mindstorms robotics kit when I was in junior high. After getting home from basketball I would have fun with my siblings trying to learn block coding and making them laugh when the robot could determine what colour they were showing it.
Flash forward to university, I was gifted an Arduino kit. I would spend breaks trying to connect new modules measuring air quality to show my parents, who were interested how our thermostat could read the temperature.
Who knows what these next years will bring, and what tools are available in the future and their capabilities. I am excited to discover them and learn new ways to spark curiosity and smiles.
My passion is to make space sustainable. I envision a planet where we utilize everything we grow, have minimal waste habitats, and take care of our home. And the efforts we use to make sustainable will directly benefit us here on earth such as introducing closed loop systems to remote communities or obtaining a greater understanding of lava tubes from analog missions.
To demonstrate my vision and also share my passion for learning, I have included AI generated images using Midjourney. AI design is a new revolutionary tool that brings your designs to life in minutes by reading a sentence about what you want to create.

I want to acknowledge the artists that helped bring my vision of life flourishing on other planets and lunar lava tubes providing shelter from radiation. I believe caves could be a great natural shelter for us both on and off the planet. Their temperature regulation, structural integrity, and radiation shielding are all natural, and I think that creating visuals such as these helps explain the technology I hope to innovate in the future.
Fitness Forever
Sports do more than just keep me fit and healthy. They have taught me essential skills of perseverance, teamwork, and leadership.
I have competed in every sport I could, from basketball to volleyball, and badminton to track and field. During university I was often found in the main gym playing drop in basketball as the only girl, running hard till the gym closed. Challenging myself and learning to adapt to uncomfortable situations is a key lesson I have learned in Jiu-Jitsu, where after coaching and training almost every day I earned my blue belt. This is thanks to the amazing training partners and coaches I have which push me to improve.
Coaching has always been a passion of mine, and it is a great opportunity to share my knowledge to help others. From coaching volleyball to basketball, I love inspiring and pushing others to be their best, and the reward of watching others grow and succeed is the greatest medal of all.

My Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Story
After realizing the importance of defending myself as a young woman, I started boxing, and soon, the advantage of those taller with longer arms than mine became apparent. One day I decided to try BJJ, and the coach at the gym was about my size and was winning sparring matches against people twice his body weight. I knew I wanted to become his student, but unfortunately when I was about to sign up COVID hit.
However, this coach was special and encouraged me to try it out when I could. When COVID started to lessen and I went to Cambridge for an internship, his friend who ran a gym took me in as a student. After training 6 days a week and helping coach the kids classes, I got my bluebelt after a year of training.

When I returned to Alberta for school I found a gym by my university, however, intramural basketball resulted in a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. I needed surgery, but I knew I would return.
Flash forward to today and a year behind me of dedicated rehab and strength training, I am finally back on the mats with a goal of returning to competing. The resilience I attribute to my mother, who has always been an inspiration to me, reminding me to never give up!
Giving Gratitude
Dear moon, the soundtrack of this webpage, was written for all those in my life who have shaped who I am and watched me grow. When I wrote this song,
I thought of deep in the mountains of Kananaskis, where our family often camps and searches for the International Space Station in a sky glittered with stars.
I thought of my parents showing up at every sports game and cheering me on.
I thought of the coaches, teachers, and mentors I have had who encourage and inspire my curious eyes and tenacity.
I thought of the many friends I have had along the way who share an adventurous spirit and challenge me to grow.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of my life, and thank you for reading my page!
